OPTX International Will Break New Ground with MAC OS X Support

Macintosh Workplace Communicators Soon to connect with Advanced
ScreenWatch™ Software

CHICO, Calif. Oct 1, 2001/PRNewswire -- OPTX International will break new ground with MAC OS X support. Macintosh workplace communicators will soon be able to playback live or archived information created with ScreenWatch™ software that is streamed over RealNetworks®. ScreenWatch software is widely acknowledged as the high-quality solution for developing efficient communications for the workplace and education.
"This connection between ScreenWatch software and MAC OS X helps us reach an important audience," states Joe Bacchus, OPTX International's vice president of sales. "By supporting Macintosh and Windows, we are the only complete solution for universities."
For several years, educators have utilized ScreenWatch to record and stream live and archived classroom instruction for on-demand student playback. "With the enormous growth of distance education over the past few years, we have wanted to expand our market into the Macintosh realm," adds Bacchus. "That's why we're announcing our commitment to new MAC OS X support. Macintosh users can take advantage of ScreenWatch capabilities, and still work with technology they know. We understand that business and universities are struggling to reduce costs and to reach more students. Our customers achieve these goals by streaming meetings, conferences and classroom lectures over the Internet."

Brian Meyerperter CEO and president of OPTX comments, "As the premier provider of screen capture technology and playback services, we wanted to enter the Macintosh side of the market. Recently, we received astounding acceptance of our MAC OS 9 playback on RealPlayer at the RealNetworks Conference."
As the only software that records three resolution levels, this multiplatform software supports screen capture on Windows, Linux, Sun and Macintosh computers. ScreenWatch works with RealServer™ on Linux, Solaris™, and HP-UX as well as Windows 2000 and Windows NT systems.
OPTX serves organizations requiring high-quality screen recording and playback for workplace communications, training, and education. Harvard Business School, Stanford University, the University of Maryland, National Medical Library, Tivoli Systems, and Novell have adopted ScreenWatch. ScreenWatch is distributed worldwide.
